Engagement event outlines big ideas to shape local services

Feedback about experiences of health and care in Northamptonshire – and people’s priorities for the future – are helping NHCP to shape plans to develop and improve local services.

As detailed in the last edition of Partnership Update, NHCP and Healthwatch Northamptonshire hosted a joint community engagement event on 2 May bringing residents and professionals together for conversations about how we can be supported to choose well, stay well and live well.

A report summarising feedback and outcomes from the event is currently being prepared and will be available to download from this website soon.

This will be used across all the Partnership’s areas of work to inform their activity and future planning. A selection of some of the key themes and priorities which emerged from the event included:

• The need to improve access to information about local health and care services

• Better co-ordination to make it easier for people to access services seamlessly across different organisations

• Making it easier for authorised professionals to access people’s health and care records to improve their experience of services

• Reducing inequalities in health and care across the county

The event was well received by participants and this will support the planning of future NHCP community engagement activity and listening events around the county.
