5 ways to wellbeing

5 ways to wellbeing 2019-05-24T17:20:18+00:00

Hello, welcome, it is good to see you here!

We all take steps to look after our physical health, whether it is eating healthy or simply brushing our teeth. But when was the last time you took care of your mental wellbeing? We are inviting you to take a pledge to look after your mental wellbeing,ย using the โ€˜5 ways to wellbeingโ€™ as your guide:

  1. Connect with the people around me
  2. Be active in a way that suits me and that I enjoy
  3. Take notice and be mindful of my surroundings
  4. Keep learning new skills and developing myself
  5. Give what I can whether it is my time or simply a random act of kindness

While a focus on these steps has been shown to have a positive impact on mental wellbeing, how you apply them to your life is up to you!

For ideas on easy steps you could take select one of the 5 ways above or make your pledge now…

What are the 5 ways to wellbeing?

I pledge to look after my mental wellbeing in the same I would my physical health.

I pledge to look after my mental health and promote well being amongst my staff group. I will provide, promote and encourage healthy living within my team to encourage mental wellbeing. I will encourage exercise and supply everyone with information they need for help that they may require on their journey.

I have been affected by mental health for longer than I have recognised and by pledging to look after my wellbeing I am continuing to challenge myself.

I CAN be better and strive to be so. I know where I fall short (and when I fix one area another will inevitably appear). But being vulnerable allows me to be brave, accepting my weaknesses helps me grow stronger. To be able to support others in my job, it helps to know how hard it is to change, how frustrating setbacks can be, but also how liberating each transformation is. Therfore my pledge is holding the mindset that I'm OK with being a work in progress.Your text to link...
